Madrid, 2026.03.31.- Measnet brought together its Executive Board and the coordinators of its Expert Groups for their annual strategic meeting in Madrid, held in early March. The session provided a focused space to review ongoing technical projects, explore future priorities, and reinforce Measnet’s role in shaping high‑quality, internationally aligned wind energy measurement practices.

Representatives from all Expert Groups participated, including Alina Roß (Wind Sensor Calibration), Fermín Regueiro (Acoustic Noise), Fu Deyi (Remote Sensing), Kostas Papadopoulos (Power Performance), and Daniel Ortiz (Site Assessment). Leader for Electrical Characteristics (Sokratis Tentzerakis) joined remotely.

The meeting featured in‑depth discussions on the evolving needs of the wind energy sector, with particular emphasis on how new and upcoming standards will impact test laboratories worldwide.

Participants also shared operational challenges, proposed improvements, and highlighted opportunities to further harmonize methodologies across member organizations.

A key outcome of the session was the shared commitment to strengthen connections among the different working areas, to increase synergies, streamline processes, and support more efficient development of technical guidance for the renewable energy industry.
