• JWPA has considered this guideline to be of great interest to its members, as it represents the state-of-the-art of wind measurements, wind resource and site assessments within the wind energy sector.

• The English version is available for free download in the ‘Documents’ section of the MEASNET website.

Madrid, 2025.07.07.- The third version of the “Evaluation of Site-Specific Wind Conditions” guideline, created by the MEASNET Site-Assessment Expert Group, has just been translated into Japanese by the Japan Wind Power Association (JWPA).

Released at the end of 2022, “Evaluation of Site-Specific Wind Conditions” represents the state-of-the-art of wind measurements, wind resources and site assessments within the wind energy sector. For this reason, it has been considered by JWPA to be of great interest to its affiliates, who can access the translated version on its ‘members-only’ website.

Always open to cooperate with different stakeholders for the development of the wind energy sector, MEASNET started its collaboration with JWPA back in 2009, when this collective requested permission to translate version 1 of the guideline for dissemination to its members.

The English guideline is available for its free download in the ‘Documents’ section of the MEASNET website (‘Measurement procedures’).
