Measnet Holds Its Annual Council of Members Meeting

Madrid, 2026.03.19.- Measnet celebrated its annual Council of Members on March 4th in Madrid, Spain, bringing together representatives from across the international network to review progress, exchange insights, and outline priorities for the year ahead.

Several members who could not travel to Madrid joined the meeting remotely, ensuring their valuable contributions were still very much part of the discussion.

During the meeting, participants addressed key topics shaping the present and future of the organization, including strategic initiatives and emerging needs within the wind energy measurement community. Member organizations presented their latest developments, underscoring the collaborative spirit and continuous improvement that define Measnet.

The Executive Board, together with the Expert Groups Coordinators, provided an overview of their ongoing activities and upcoming projects, highlighting collective efforts to maintain technical excellence, harmonization, and transparency across the sector.

In addition to the formal discussions, the gathering also offered space for informal conversations, strengthening relationships and reinforcing the collaborative mindset that characterizes Measnet.

Measnet looks forward to another year marked by shared progress, knowledge exchange, and continued impact in support of high‑quality, reliable measurements in the wind energy industry.

 

About Measnet

Measnet, International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes, is a non-profit organization for accredited testing and technical service providers in the field of wind energy. Founded in 1997, its goal is to ensure high quality measurements, uniform interpretation of standards and recommendations, as well as interchangeability of results.

Measnet currently counts 30 members, which are technical laboratories from Australia, Denmark, Germany, Greece, P.R. China, Spain, The Netherlands, Türkiye, The United Kingdom, and The United States.

Since 2015, Measnet collaborates with IECRE to provide and perform Proficiency Tests under its rules. Furthermore, in 2019, the organization signed an A-Liaison with the IEC TC 88 group to promote technology transfer and speed up the process of development and updating of technical guidelines.
