Madrid, 2025.10.02.- The Measnet Electrical Characteristics Expert Group held its annual face-to-face meeting in Madrid last week, at the Applus+ headquarters. Those members unable to attend joined via videoconference.Electrical Characteristics ExG

In this forum, the members had the opportunity to discuss topics relevant to their joint work, such as the scope and calendar of the next Proficiency Test, as well as updatings of the procedures for MV and LV transducers and DAQ systems.

This working team is currently coordinated by Sokratis Tentzerakis, after his re-election for this position last May. It comprises members from CEPRI, CRES, DNV, Energy to Quality (Barlovento Applus+), NREL, UL Solutions, Wind-consult, and windtest grevenbroich.

Measnet (International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes) includes six official Expert Groups, plus an unofficial one in the field of Remote Sensing. Focused on specific measurement tasks, they advise and support the Executive Board and the Council of Members on the definition of the measurement procedures.

 

About MEASNET

Measnet, International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes, is a non-profit organization for accredited technical service providers engaged in the field of wind energy. Founded in 1997, its goal is to ensure high quality measurements, uniform interpretation of standards and recommendations, as well as interchangeability of results.

Measnet currently counts 30 members, which are technical laboratories from Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, Türkiye, and The United States.

Since 2015, Measnet collaborates with IECRE to offer and perform Proficiency Tests under the rules of IECRE. Furthermore, in 2019, MEASNET signed an A-Liaison with the IEC TC 88 group to promote technology transfer and speed up the process of development and updating of technical guidelines.
