Madrid, 20.11.2024.- MEASNET (International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes) has just released the final report on the 20ld01 Loads Proficiency Test. It presents the results of the intercomparison carried out in the area of mechanical loads by 20 technical laboratories from the EU, China, India, Korea and the USA, with a 90% success rate.
This is the third of the public reports issued by MEASNET this year corresponding to their Proficiency Tests, performed in different areas of competence under the rules of IECRE (IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications.)
Alejandro Martinez, MEASNET Vice Chairman and Technical Advisor for Proficiency Tests, as well as IECRE Lead Assessor, has remarked the “high level of competence of the laboratories which have taken part in this Proficiency Test, as evidenced by this report.” He has also highlighted the relevance of proficiency testing for the wind industry, a system “based on honest communication between the involved laboratories and their willingness to work in a transparent and cooperative manner”, he has added.
The report on 20ld01 Loads Proficiency Test has been coordinated by Martin Falk, test Conductor and ingenieer in windtest grevenbroich. It is now available for its free download from the MEASNET website, along with the ones focused on Power Performance and Acoustic Noise: www.measnet.com/finished-pts
MEASNET is the official IECRE provider for Proficiency Tests in the wind industry worldwide, assessing qualification according to harmonised and aligned criteria. More than 90 laboratories have been involved in these technical evaluations since their inception, in 2020. Proficiency testing proves competence through inter-laboratory testing, and fosters mutual trust which enables international acceptance.
About MEASNET
