Aresse and Dekra Spain, new MEASNET members in Power Performance

• DEKRA Industrial Inspection and Aresse Engineering were formally welcomed at the 21st MEASNET Council of Members meeting, held on April 3rd in Madrid.

• With these two Spanish companies, MEASNET counts 16 recognised test labs offering the Power Performance service, and 29 members in total.
 

Madrid, 2025.04.10.- MEASNET (International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes) announces two new members in the competence area of Power Performance: DEKRA Industrial Inspection and Aresse Engineering. These Spanish technical laboratories were formally welcomed at the 21st MEASNET Council of Members meeting, held on April 3rd in Madrid, Spain.

Thus, the international non-profit organization in the wind energy sector currently counts 16 recognized test labs offering Power Performance services, and 29 members in total, coming from Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, and The United States.

Aresse Engineering has been a MEASNET member in the Acoustic Noise competence area since 2016. The company is now strengthening its commitment to the organization by joining this new service.

As for Dekra Spain, they have successfully passed the technical assessment required to become a MEASNET member, which has taken place over the last few months.

For his part, Íñigo López, Aresse’s CEO, stated: “After being a proud member of MEASNET in the area of Acoustic Noise for almost a decade, we are really pleased to also join Power Performance and contribute our expertise in this service to this expert group.”

A strategic forum to address the challenges of the future

MEASNET has held its 21st Council of Members (CoM) Meeting in Madrid (Spain). This is the organization’s yearly forum to make decisions on the organization’s operational functioning and adopt future strategies.

During this working session, the MEASNET CoM has discussed how to address present and future goals and challenges. The Executive Board has presented the achievements and ongoing projects, as well as some mid-term plans. Members and Expert Groups have also been invited to explain the projects they are focused on.

MEASNET, International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes, is a non-profit organization for accredited technical service providers engaged in the field of wind energy. Founded in 1997, its goal is to ensure high quality measurements, uniform interpretation of standards and recommendations, as well as interchangeability of results.

MEASNET currently counts 29 members, which are technical laboratories from Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, and The United States.

Since 2015, MEASNET holds an agreement with IECRE to offer and perform Proficiency Tests under the rules of IECRE as a privileged partner. Furthermore, in 2019, MEASNET signed an A-Liaison with the IEC TC 88 group to promote technology transfer and speed up the process of development and updating of technical guidelines.
