Alina Roß, new Coordinator of the MEASNET Anemometer Calibration Expert Group

Madrid, 21.02.2024.- Engineer Alina Roß has just been elected as the new Coordinator of the MEASNET Anemometer Calibration Expert Group. Thus, Roß becomes the first woman to lead these technical panels in MEASNET.

In this role, she will be the focal point between the MEASNET Executive Board and the Anemometer Calibration Expert Group. Among other functions, she will organise and keep track of the group’s work. She will also act as this collective’s spokesperson at the yearly face-to-face meeting with the Executive Board and the other coordinators of the other groups.

Alina Roß is the Deputy Head of the Calibration Laboratory of Deutsche WindGuard Wind Tunnel Services GmbH since 2021. After studying engineering physics with specialization in renewable energies at the University of Oldenburg, she started working for Deutsche WindGuard Wind Tunnel Services GmbH in 2017.

Her professional focus covers wind tunnel experiments, with special emphasis on the reduction of measurement uncertainty, as well as international committee work and further development of standards.

The Anemometer Calibration Expert Group consists of ten laboratories. They are currently performing a Proficiency Test which will be completed during the first quarter of 2024.
