    MEASNET issued a statement about anemometer calibration. This statement is in fact a response on the NRG statement, that they calibrate up to highet wind speeds than MEASNET. Read the complete statement about anemometer calibration !

    Instituto Universitario de Microgravedad "Ignacio Da Riva" , Universidad Politécnica de Madrid , Laboratorio de Calibración en Túnel Aerodinámico (LAC-IDR/UPM) , Spain, is a new Associated Member of MEASNET.

    On the 12th Council of Members meeting on June 10th, 2002 in Athens at the seat of CRES, the Council of Members decided by unanimity, based on the recommendations of the respective Assessment Teams, the following:

  • Windtest Grevenbroich GmbH, Germany, is accepted as a new Full Member of MEASNET, approved for Power Performance and Noise measurements.

  • Wind-consult GmbH, Germany, is accepted as Associated Member of MEASNET for Anemometer Calibration.

    Measnet has now 7 full members and 1 associated member. Three candidates are still engaged in the ongoing assessment procedure.

    The Council of Members further decided:

  • The name of MEASNET changes into: "Measuring Network of Wind Energy Institutes".

  • The new 2nd Vice Chairman of the Executive Board is Kostas Papadopoulos from CRES. He replaces Evangolos Morfiadakis, who left CRES.
